About Us

Empowering the professionals behind local government

The Broward County Municipal Clerks Association (BCMCA) is a not-for-profit professional organization incorporated in 1991. We bring together city clerks, deputy clerks, and records management professionals from across Broward County's 31 municipalities.

As a regional chapter of the Florida Association of City Clerks (FACC), we support our members in pursuing professional excellence through the IIMC Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) and Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) designation programs.

Our bi-monthly meetings feature educational presentations, legislative updates, networking opportunities, and peer collaboration — all focused on helping municipal clerks serve their communities more effectively.

Our Mission

To promote the professional development of municipal clerks in Broward County through education, networking, and mutual support, while advancing the role and recognition of the clerk's office in local government.

What We Offer

  • Bi-monthly educational meetings with guest speakers
  • CMC/MMC certification support and study groups
  • Carol Landau Memorial Scholarship program
  • Legislative updates and best practice sharing
  • Peer networking across 31 municipalities
